Nagrania z 20. Sympozjum EBHC 2025

Poniedziałek, 9 października 2025 (Polski)

Wtorek, 10 października 2025 (Polski)

Every year, since 2006, the International Evidence-Based Health Care Symposium has been bringing together experts who build and reform the healthcare system in Europe and worldwide. Too us, it is proof of the legitimacy of this scientific initiative.

In recent years, we have successfully organized 19 editions of the Symposium in Krakow, which resulted in the exchange of experiences, establishing contacts and cooperation between Polish and foreign scientific communities. About 200-300 HTA specialists, decision makers, patients and representatives of science from over a dozen countries participated in each edition. We are proud and pleased to note that many of them are world-renowned experts representing European and international organizations dealing with the economics and quality of medical services.

Edition 2025: Evidence-driven, HTA-proven

The International EBHC Symposium is a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience for researchers, clinicians, decision-makers, representatives of reimbursement agencies, the medical industry and patient organizations, which has been in existence for 20 years. Its interdisciplinary and international nature emphasizes the growing role of scientific evidence as a common language of dialogue in healthcare. In the face of increasing digitalization and the growing importance of cost-effectiveness, the Symposium is an important reference point for the future of HTA and EBM - both in the region and globally.

Tradycyjnie zapewniliśmy przestrzeń do interdyscyplinarnej debaty. Dyskutowaliśmy o przyszłości HTA w obliczu dynamicznych przemian systemowych, cyfryzacji ochrony zdrowia oraz pojawiających się globalnych wyzwań. Jubileuszowa edycja to także moment, by spojrzeć wstecz – jaką rolę odegrały dotychczasowe Sympozja?

  • Session 1: NextGen Evidence in HTA
  • Session 2: Life cycle of evidence in HTA
  • Session 3: Evolution of healthcare systems
  • Special session in cooperation with WHO Polska
  • Session 4: Medical devices: navigating new challenges and opportunities
  • Session 5: RWE-based solutions – EHDS
  • Session 6. Local Governments Academy 2025
Edition 2025: Our look back over a 20-year journey with the EBHC Symposium

As long-time observers, promoters and participants in the evolutionary processes of the healthcare system, we invite you to a joint summary of two decades of discussions, but also actions and experiences. The opening session was devoted to redefining the approach to data, scientific evidence and health technology assessment (HTA). The meeting will be the basis for a new look at data-driven, evidence-driven healthcare systems. We will also introduce the concept of NextGen Evidence and show examples of its application in practice.
With the development of digitalization, two key opportunities have emerged:

    1. integration of mass data from various sources (RWD, registers, new digital technologies)
    2. modern tools for analyzing this data (AI, predictive modeling).

By directing attention and effort to these new fields, we have a chance to evolve the assessment of health technologies. Perhaps we will obtain tools that take into account the real conditions of a holistic healthcare environment and perform assessment with minimal delay in relation to real time (real time approach).
This approach shifts the focus from clinical trials to more flexible evidence models - with the potential to optimize the organization of care based on full data sets. Barriers to implementation (including costs) and behavioral aspects for medicines, medical devices or system solutions at the level of service providers, but also nationally and even internationally will also be discussed. top
