Onkolog, specjalista z zakresu radioterapii onkologicznej oraz dyrektor Dolnośląskiego Centrum Onkologii, kierownik Kliniki Radioterapii Uniwersytetu Medycznego we Wrocławiu, prezes Polskiego Towarzystwa Onkologicznego oraz prezes Ogólnopolskiego Zrzeszenia Publicznych Centrów i Instytutów Onkologicznych. Specjalizuje się w terapii nowotworów wieku dziecięcego. Jest członkiem Zarządu Głównego Polskiego Towarzystwa Radioterapii Onkologicznej (PTRO), a także koordynatorem Sekcji Radioterapii Pediatrycznej w Polskiej Pediatrycznej Grupie Guzów Litych. Jest również członkiem European Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ESTRO), Pediatric Radiation Oncology Society (PROS). Jest członkiem Krajowej Rady ds. Onkologii z ramienia Polskiego Towarzystwa Onkologicznego, Rady Naukowej Centrum Onkologii-Instytut im. M. Skłodowskiej-Curie w Warszawie oraz Rady Przejrzystości Agencji Oceny Technologii Medycznych i Taryfikacji. W 2019 r. został powołany przez Ministra Zdrowia do uczestnictwa w pracach Zespołu do spraw opracowania Narodowej Strategii Onkologicznej. Jest również nauczycielem akademickim. W 2019 r. był współautorem licznych prac i streszczeń, w tym m.in. prac pt. Tatiana Makarevich is a Public Health Support Officer at the WHO Country Office for Poland, specializing in infectious diseases and health sector coordination within the Refugee Response Plan. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Management and has over 15 years of experience in international public health projects and programs, including roles at UNDP, UNICEF, UNAIDS, and WHO. Tatiana has worked across multiple countries in the WHO European Region, with a particular focus on post-Soviet states. top

He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Nicolaus Copernicus Medical Academy in Cracow in 1988. Specialist in internal medicine, diabetology, laboratory diagnostics and endocrinology. In 1998, he defended his PhD thesis entitled "Searching for genes predisposing to type 2 diabetes in chromosome 20q" with honours at the Jagiellonian University Medical College. The thesis was awarded the Aurelia Baczko Award from the Polish Foundation for the Promotion of Science of the Society for Supporting Sciences for the best doctoral dissertation in the field of non-surgical clinical medicine. In 2004, he received a postdoctoral degree after submitting his dissertation entitled "Molecular basis of type 2 diabetes – selected pathogenetic and clinical issues". In 2009, he received the Professor title. Between 1993 and 2000, he worked as an assistant at the Department of Metabolic Diseases of the Jagiellonian University Medical College; in 2000, he became an adjunct there; in 2008 he became the dean of the department – as an associate professor since 2009 and, since 2013, as a professor of the Jagiellonian University. Between the years 1996 and 1999 he was a scholar at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, affiliated with the Harvard Medical School. His scientific interests include the genetic background of monogenic and type 2 diabetes, as well as clinical research in diabetes, especially related to pregnancy. He is the author and co-author of around 180 scientific articles, including 150 original works; his works have been quoted over 3000 times until the year 2017 (IF of about 600, 26 in the Hirsch index). He has been a member of the General Board of the Polish Diabetes Association (since 2007) and the President of the Association since 2015. He was a board member of the European Society of Clinical Investigation. He is a member of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes, and an EASD expert on etiological diabetes. He participates in the works of the EASD Study Group on the Genetics of Diabetes. In 2001, he received an award from the Polish Diabetes Association for his achievements in the field of diabetology, and in 2005, he was invited to give a lecture under the auspices of Jakub Węgierko during the Polish Diabetes Association Conference. For his outstanding scientifical achievements, he was recognised with an award of the Prime Minister (2006) and also received a team award from the Minister of Health (2009). In 2013, he received a Browicz Award from the Polish Academy of Learning, and in 2014 he received a Jagiellonian Laurel and a Śniadecki Award from the Polish Academy of Sciences. He has been a member of the Polish Academy of Learning since 2017. He is a reviewer in Endocrine Review, Diabetes, Diabetes Care, Diabetologia, Diabetic Medicine and several Polish journals and also an editor in the European Journal of Clinical Investigation and Diabetologia Praktyczna. He is an EU expert in the evaluation of scientific projects within the FP6, FP7 and Ideas programmes. He has published articles in world-leading scientific journals, including Nature Genetics, Nature Clinical Practice Neurology, New England Journal of Medicine, Diabetes, Diabetologia, Diabetes Care, Stroke, Neurology and others. Between the years 2008 and 2012, he was a deputy dean for organisation and curriculum at the Faculty of Medicine of the Jagiellonian University Medical College; between 2012 and 2016 he was the Jagiellonian University dean's proxy for research and development at the Jagiellonian University Medical College. Since 2016, he has been the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the Jagiellonian University Medical College. top

Deputy CFO and COO at Łukasiewicz Research Network – ITECH Institute of Innovation and Technology. MSc in management with 20 years of experience in financial management and in shaping and implementing entities' financial strategies. As an expert on European Funds, Edyta Masłowska-Parafian has been involved in public administration, as well as acquisition, disbursement, and settlement of EU projects since 2004. She played a key role in setting up the management and financing system for projects implemented under European Funds in the Ministry of Regional Development. She was also involved in the control of projects co-financed by the European Social Fund implemented by non-governmental institutions, entrepreneurs, as well as local government units or Offices. Moreover, she worked at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, where she carried out over 200 on-site project inspections. Former Head of Selection and Monitoring Department of systemic projects implemented under the Human Capital Operational Programme, where she supervised the work related to acquisition, monitoring and settlement of projects implemented under the HCOP. She held the position of the Head of the Forecasting, Analysis and Monitoring Department at the Educational Research Institute which is tasked with the acquisition and implementation of projects co-financed by the EU Funds. What is more, she conducts specialised training courses on the acquisition of EU Funds as well as the management and control system for EU-funded projects, the use and settlement of EU Funds, including the system of financial flows and certification, the monitoring and reporting system, eligibility of expenditure, settlement of EU Funds. Author or co-author of a number of publications on the management and financing of EU Fund initiatives, as well as a number of procedures, management and control systems for those involved in the EU Funds implementation system. top

Piotr Merks, PhD (Pharmacy), is the chairman of Piktorex Sp. z o.o. and has over 16 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He is an expert on the implementation of the Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD), innovative projects and designing new pharmaceutical services, a lecturer at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz, and a winner of many pharmaceutical awards in Poland and abroad. He has international experience in various sectors: research facilities, governmental and non-governmental bodies, commercial companies, hospitals, pharmacies. He has worked in the pharmaceutical industry in the UK for over 10 years. His career path has also led him to Australia, Canada and Finland, where he had the chance to learn about other pharmaceutical markets in practice. He belongs to many branch organisations, such as the British Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS), the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), the European Association of Employed community Pharmacists in Europe (EPHEU), the British Pharmacists’ Defence Association (PDA). He is a member of the District Council of the Pharmaceutical Chamber of Warsaw and the Polish Pharmaceutical Chamber (the Department of Foreign Cooperation). He actively works to improve public health and the safety of medicines and to eliminate falsified medicines from retail trade. He is the inventor and the coordinator of the pharmaceutical tool Lekolepki. He is the author of various projects and publications, and a participant of international conferences. top

François Meyer is a Special Advisor on Health Technology Assessment (HTA). He holds an MD in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology from the University of Montpellier, practiced at teaching hospitals there for years, and later worked at a prominent pharmaceutical company. François held high-level positions at the French National Authority for Health (HAS). He joined the management team of HAS in 2005, leading the setup of the HTA Division across key areas like pharmaceuticals, medical devices, interventional and diagnostic procedures, and public health programs. He then focused on international cooperation. He served on the HTAi Board for two terms and played a leading role in EUnetHTA activities. He also coordinated the EU-funded SEED project on Scientific Consultations and Post Launch Evidence Generation by 14 HTA bodies in cooperation with the EMA. Before joining HAS, François held management roles at the French Medicines Agency (now ANSM). top

Wojciech Miazga holds a PhD in health sciences and graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Medical University of Warsaw, as well as from postgraduate studies “Medical Business Management” at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics in Warsaw. Chief specialist at the Health Policy Programme Department at the Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Tariff System (AOTMiT). He has been involved in the assessment of health policy programmes since 2018, and currently acts as the coordinator of the team preparing HTA analytical reports which constitute the basis for the President of AOTMiT's Recommendations pursuant to Article 48aa of the Act on health care services financed from public funds. top
Menedżer, ukończył Szkołę Główną Handlową, a także studia MBA w Wyższej Szkole Przedsiębiorczości i Zarządzania im. Leona Koźmińskiego w Warszawie – Zarządzanie i Ekonomika Technologii Medycznych. Rozpoczynał pracę w bankowości inwestycyjnej w Polskim Banku Inwestycyjnym. Od czerwca 2007 r. do stycznia 2016 r.był zastępcą dyrektora ds. ekonomicznych Instytutu Kardiologii im. Prymasa Tysiąclecia Stefana Kardynała Wyszyńskiego w Warszawie. Analyst of Polish, EU and US regulations related to new technologies, primarily data governance in various sectors (mainly healthcare). She has gained practical experience in Polish and international law firms, as well as in policymaking in the United Nations and Polish public administration initiatives. At the end of July, she finished traineeship at DG SANTE in the European Commission, where she supported work on the European Health Data Space. Currently she is a legal researcher in the Center of IT and IP Law in the KU Leuven, where she works on a Data Spaces Support Centre project.
